Is all the equipment provided you ask?

One great thing about the Saltwater Bowfishing trips are the fact that you don’t have to buy a fishing license.  We have all licenses needed for your trip with us.  All you have to do is bring a little snack and drink and get prepared for an action packed trip.

The local attractions can make this a fun filled trip as well from the very well-known Plantation on Crystal River, to the Manatee Tours in Crystal River and Homosassa Springs, to the Blackwater Grill and Bar on beautiful Riverside Dr. in Yankeetown FL.

Safety is one of our top priorities while on-board our vessels and that’s why ALL of our Bowfishing guides are USCG (United States Coast Guard) licensed and certified. So when you book any Florida Bowfishing Charter with us, book with confidence knowing that you’re on a legally licensed vessel and with a licensed USCG Captain; not just someone off of Facebook or Instagram.

We offer both Fresh and Saltwater bowfishing charters

We mainly bowfish out of Crystal River and Yankeetown, Florida.

We Bowfish crystal clear springs on our freshwater trips and the saltwater clarity varies with the tides and weather.

All equipment is provided for our bowfishing charters

You will need a license for our freshwater trips. The State of Florida doesn’t allow us to provide you with a fishing license in freshwater. If you do a saltwater trip with us, there is no license needed for this trip. We provide all licensing necessary for our saltwater charters.

The easiest one to get is a 3 day license and the cheapest.

We currently fish out of 19-24 foot flats boats that are rigged for daytime and night time bowfishing.

We are constantly on the water and watching the flow of fish. We try and put you on the most fish possible with a target rich environment. So it may be daytime, it may be at night. Summertime leans more towards daytime and winter leans more towards night.

We have bows to fit all ages.

All of our bowfishing equipment if fully adjustable to fit all ages male and female.

Booked a stand hunt with Matt while I was in the area on a family vacation. He answered all my questions honestly and the booking process was easy. He then put me in contact with Cody who would be my guide. Cody called me shortly after to discuss the details. I informed him I would be hunting with a long bow and then we got on the subject of his dogs. He told me he regularly guides bow hunters with his dogs which surprised me as I assumed bows weren’t normally used with dog hunts. I enjoy hunting with dogs any chance I get, so I switched to a dog hunt at that time. Right away we got on a big boar hog with his Black Mouth Cur. Chased it for about an hour, but due to the restrictions of a bow, I was unable to get a shot. With a gun we would have gotten that big pig fairly easily. We then switched to his GSP and got on a good sized sow. Pursued her for a while and eventually was able to get it. The hunt was harder than I thought, which is what I was hoping for. We busted through some nasty stuff trying to put an arrow in a pig. I was scratched up and sweaty when it was over. Codys’ dogs handled amazing. They would bay up a pig but he could call them off before the shot. And Cody, being a traditional bow hunter himself, knew how to put me in the right spot for the shot. I would gladly do that hunt again.

My friend and I hunted there on March 26, 2024. Started out as an all day hunt. I shot my hog in the morning and then we broke for lunch. My friend decided to hunt with dogs in the afternoon, which Cody said no problem. He told us it wouldn’t take long and would likely get a larger hog. The afternoon hunt was very entertaining and my friend shot a big boar about 225 lbs. We will definitely hunt again with West Shore. Cody was very accommodating and makes sure you have a good time. Excellent hunt. As soon as I arrived Cody greeted me and took me to the blind. I bow hunted and the set up was perfect with many shooting lanes and a feeder at 20 yards. Saw 6 pigs and took a nice one. Cody did a great job putting me on the pigs. I’ll be back next year.

I wanted to complete my turkey Grand Slam. I booked my spring hunt thru West Shore Outfitters. Matt from West Shore Outfitters worked with me on available dates and advised me on the legal stuff like licenses and even how to transport my shotgun on the flight from Iowa. West Shore Outfitters has a number of guides with access to multiple properties. The guides know the properties and have patterned the birds. As anyone would want on their hunt, my guide had options of which property and which birds he wanted me to hunt. The first day the birds went in the opposite direction off the roost. My guide made some adjustments and I harvested my Grand Slam by 8:30am the second day. I’m doing a full mount and my guide has had many clients do the same. He showed me how to take my harvest on the plane. My brother-in-law could not come with me, but I will have him book with West Shore Outfitters when he is ready to get his Osceola.I also hog hunted thru West Shore Outfitters. My flight had me come in two days before my scheduled turkey hunt. I had some time to kill. I went thermo night hog hunting the first night in Florida. I have never hunted hogs so totally new experience for me. The guide was patient and explained everything to me multiple times until I was completely comfortable going into the field. I was able to harvest a big hog and play with new technology at the same time. Everyone needs to try it at least once. I went day hog hunting the next day and enjoyed all the experiences the forest shows you while you are in a stand. I also harvested another hog on my day hunt. The guides are very experienced in setting me up and locating my kills.

In between hunts I enjoyed talking bowhunting with those guys.I did a 2 day hunt. First day I sat in a comfy bow hunter friendly box blind. Also very convenient for us self film guys and gals. I had hogs on top of me before first light as I was setting up! But as with big deer, big hogs are weary of feeders. Second day I asked to do a dog hunt and after a brief conversation to make sure we were all on the same page, buddy it was on! The dogs they have (Tito and Ringo) were AMAZING. They were on the hogs quickly. I was able to arrow 2 BIG BOARS. I can’t wait to do this hunt again!

Awesome experience! I started with the full day hunt where you sit in a stand for the day and saw tiny hogs and let them pass. At lunchtime when I met back up with my guide he recommended doing the hunt with dogs instead and we decided to go that route. Needless too say it was more fun than I’ve ever had hunting, the dogs where very seasoned hunters and the guide/handler was very professional. We pushed a huge sow out of the brush about 30 minuets into the dog hunt and I took her. Highly recommend this business for hog hunts.

Cody and Colby helped me out today, they were great. It was an awesome experience. I grew up hunting squirrels, rabbits, etc. But I had yet to go hog hunting. Initially I just scheduled the basic day hunt. I wanted to sit alone in a blind and listen to the forest. Just as the morning sun broke and I could see further than just afew feet, my first hog crept out of the bushes about 25 yards from me. I shot it where they suggested I should, it took two steps and dropped. Perfect size meat hog. After that I texted my guide and said I wanted to go out with the dogs. We hopped in the side by side with 3 bay dogs and I ended up getting two big badass hogs with big ol cutters. It’s an adrenaline rush, charging into the bushes with the dogs barking and the hog snortin. 10/10 Highly recommend.

I booked a hog hunt for 1-26-2022 and this was my first time doing this type of hunt. Cody was my guide for the day. Although I did not get a hog it certainly was no fault of Cody or West shore outfitters. For Florida the weather was rainy windy and very cold. It is almost impossible to get bored on stand as turkey, quail, doves and MANY, MANY hogs show up throughout the entire day, but the hogs, in my case, were most active from 2pm until dark. Do not forget bug spray no matter how cold. I am going to book another hunt here for sure. I've hunted with West Shore at least 5 times since my first trip. The new location in Fort McCoy is loaded with many quality hogs and Colby, Cody and Dakota have always treated my son, daughter, my son in law and myself with total class and will do everything to help the hunt be safe and successful.In my opinion there is no hunting experience this exciting and action packed for this pricing anywhere. As long as I'm breathing I'll be bringing new hunters to West Shore to break them into the sport, but darned I wish I was behind the rifle myself a bit more lol. Ps, my most recent hunt was 1-2-24. I'll be booking another outing for my daughter real soon too.

4 of us went on a night hunt last night, the guides were super, they got us on the game, showed us what to do, were organized, safe and a lot of fun. We got our game and were back at camp in an hour and a half, including tracking and recovering a wounded animal. Dec 16, 2023 - I'm a repeat customer and always have a memorable experience hunting with Matt's outfit. On 12/16 I shot a hog in with a lever action and iron sites. This method was something I always wanted to do and was successful because of Cody's instructions.After returning to the camp with my kill, Cody invited me to come along with another client to watch dog track hunt and using a handgun up close. This was an addition new and great experience I'll remember for life.Cody is a true professional and the entire outfit and property is a spectacular experience.I can't wait for the trip to Westshore outfitters.Oct 2019 - We live locally and did the night thermal hunt for hogs. Within minutes of stepping out of the jeep and into the trails there were many target opportunities. At night the animals are very active and its pretty cool while stalking to hear them grunting, fighting and foraging all around throughout the area.Night hunt was worth the experience. We enjoyed the benefit having cover of darkness to sneak up close and select a shot.Dakota and Colby were our guides and both are absolute professionals and sincere pleasure to hunt with. I just completed my first ever hunt with West Shore Outfitters and I'm hooked! Their property is massive, blinds were pretty comfortable and their guides were very nice and informative.My guide was Colby; he gave me a few tips before dropping me off that really helped! Nov 22, 2023. Two hunters looking for a "meat hog" hunt. Used their rifle (Tikka 308 with thermal scope). There are options on what to do - we chose riding in jeep w thermal as one hunter is mobility impaired. I believe there are 800+ acres but density is high so we found meat size pigs quickly. Hunter 1 chose a smaller pig but there was a BIG pig there too. Hunter 2 connected maybe 10min later with a good sized boar. Our guide Cody provided the exact experience we wanted!!!! He had the pigs broken down quickly and we were on our way!!!! It was a perfect evening even thoughy pig did make it to the brush and Cody had to find it. Oh - tomdeer hunters - pigs need hit further forward on the shoulder joint so they don't do that (sorry Cody!!) Anyway awesome time!

I can't say enough on how great our guide Colby was on our thermal Hog hunt last night. He practiced excellent safety and instructions on the hunt as well as great conversation while out stalking our Pigs.If you listen to his guidance you just can't go wrong! Thank you guys for providing a great BDAY and Veterans day celebration for us!! We're hooked and will be back for more!!

What a great experience from start to finish! Colby was our guide and did an amazing job. We did an all day hunt and hadn't seen much in the morning, so on the way back in for midday break he hooked us up on some hogs. He helped me follow a pretty decent one which I ended up bagging. Had some nice cutters on him!! Highly recommend Westshore. I will be returning. Thank you Matt and Colby for everything!

Visited many hunting places in the past that include Chestnut Hunting Lodge, NC and Clark Range, TN. Westshore Outfitters provided great pricing, outstanding guide services, and good lodging. Cody and Kolby made a memorable first hunting experience for my 16 old son. Thank both of you so much! My other son and I also had a great time! 100% success. I had family coming to visit from out of state and wanted to provide them with a Florida experience to remember. West Shore Outfitters did not disappoint. The property that we hunted was beautiful and offered us plenty of opportunity to take some hogs.Our guide, Cody, was friendly, helpful, and hilarious, making everyone in our party laugh with his wisecracks and comments. I was worried that my rifle might not be sighted properly and was prepared to rent a gun; Cody generously sighted the rifle for me even though he could have easily asked me to rent one of theirs.After getting the hog, Cody was quick to clean it and we took it directly to the processor, which was conveniently located only a minute or two down the road.The owner, Matt, was very transparent about the expenses in the trip, including telling us beforehand how much it would cost to process the meat and to ship it, so we knew exactly what to expect from the start.All in all, everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I'm looking forward to booking another hunt with West Shore in the future.

We had a great hunt. Matt set us up with Cody and Dakota who took good care of us. We all enjoyed some north/south banter before the hunt. Very safety oriented first and foremost. If you listen to the guides and follow their lead you will have a great hunt.

Cody set us up. Thermal hunt was awesome and successful. Hanging around all of the guys while cleaning and quartering the hogs provided a chance to interact with the other guides and hunters.We turned our meat into Italian sausage.Thanks for a great hunt.

West shore outfitters beat any expectations I had, Dakota was out guide and was amazing!! This guy is seriously a hog expert! He got my lady and me on amazing hogs!! Took his time to explain to us some tip (much appreciated as this was our first ever hunting trip). I can’t say enough great things west shore outfitters. The only thing I would make different is I wish they sold their t shirts my lady and I would love to have one and even stockers or something. Dakota took plenty of pictures for us making sure everything g about our trip was amazing!! I highly recommend them and we will be returning at least once a year!! Thanks to Matt and Dakota for making this a perfect gift for my lady and Me!!

This place was absolutely amazing. My husband had set up our trip for Mother’s Day, haha today matter of fact. We had Dakota as our guide and he was amazing. We got to the site by 5:30am and we both had boars by 11am. We want to make this a yearly thing for now on, was definitely an experience to remember.

Went on a Osceola turkey hunt and was finished by 7:30 first morning. Very good guide
