You do not need a license to hunt with us. While hog hunting on private land in the State of Florida; you are not required to possess a hunting license.
Where are you located?
/in Hog Hunts/by competenowWe are located between Deland and New Smyrna Beach off of SR44. We are 30 minutes from Downtown Orlando off of I-4 and 15 minutes from Daytona Beach off of either I-4 or I-95.
Do I have to wear Hunters Orange?

Do I need to wear Camo?
/in Hog Hunts/by competenowThat is completely up to you. I like either camo or dark clothing, but the stands that you’ll be hunting out of, have blinds around them.
What kind of hunting is it?
/in Hog Hunts/by competenowWe hunt out of tree stands over feeder locations. The shot range to the feeder is 20-30yds for archery hunters, but is not limited too for gun hunters. Gun hunters can expect a range of 0-100yds depending on which stand location they’re hunting.

I would like to Thank Matt for running such a great place to hunt. Our guides were Cody and Colby and they were awesome. Two of us went out for an afternoon hunt and then a thermal night hunt. They put us on hogs both day and night. Matt and his staff are knowledgeable and fun to be around. Great experience all around. We will be going back soon and also looking to plan cooperate retreats to his place in near future. Like I said great place to hunt with a staff that knows there business and makes you feel welcome. Hello my name is Joseph, my wife and myself had a hog hunt on the 1-4 -25 and it was the best hunt I've had in a while she killed her first hog time hunting and it was awesome it highly recommend westshore outfitters for your hog hunts we were in the stand about 6:15 am and 7:01 she downed her first hog ever I will be booking with them again

My brother and i had a amazing experience with west shore outfitters, they accommodated a awsome last minute thermal hog hunt for us , i would highly reccomend going this route for a good hog hunt , having no trophy fees or random charges was a huge perk . And all of it was very cost friendly.

Went for a pig hunt. Put me on a ground blind before sunlight and I had plenty of pigs come in and get the corn. Right as it became shooting light, they all took off. A couple hours later, they offered to run dogs for me. I agreed and was put on a big boar and sealed the deal. They handled everything really well and processed the pig quickly. I will be coming back in the future!

Cody and Colby at west shore outfitters… these are the guys you wanna go with here in Florida. Been with many outfitters in the state and hunted a bunch of hog and these guys are absolutely fantastic. Knowledgeable and super efficient. I Highly recommend a dog hunt. Action packed and as safe as possible. These guys are very passionate about what they do and are very personable, and over all just a good damn to go out with. First time with West Shore Outfitters and had an amazing time. My daughter and I drove down from North Carolina for a Thermal Hog Hunt and successfully took 3 hogs. The hunt set up and communication beforehand was excellent and all of our questions were answered. Directions were perfect and we arrived on time without issue. Cody met with us when we got there and went over what we were going to do, he went over safety, and let us get comfortable with the rifle and optics. The hunt was excellent, as he put us on several good hogs/groups of hogs. Cody really went out of his way to make us successful, and you get a feeling right away that he really cares about the hunters having an amazing experience. Colby came out after the harvest and helped us load the animals into a UTV transport the animals back to the base. Cody and Colby set the hogs up for pictures and then very quickly had all of the meat quartered and in my coolers. Both my daughter and I are super excited about this and future hunts with West Shore. Were even planning on fishing and bow fishing with them in the future. Great place to take the kids, great place for everyone. Thanks Cody and Colby, my daughter and I made a great memory with you guys.

This was my second time using West Shore Outfitters, they never disappoint. I needed to do a meat run and since my hunting area was pretty dry, I knew exact where to go. Great experience, great Guides. I arrived in the hottest part of the year (late July). Being from the north I was unaware this was a terrible time to book a hunt. I booked the thermal hunt and was taken out and had a successful guided hunt. It was once the hunt was complete my guide informed me this was horrible time of year to hunt and was glad we had been able to have a successful hunt because the heat had been keeping the hogs from being active. Overall the experience was a quality one. The Guide knew where to go and made my trip to Florida a success. My Guide was also extremely knowledgeable regarding flying with harvested animals and gave me tips on bringing harvested meat onto a plane. Overall the experience was a great one. Arrived at the location. Conducted my hunt. Successfully harvested two hogs. The Guides handled business well and I will gladly spend money again with their organization to go hog hunting.

Matt and Cody were great! My husband and I were originally booked with a different outfitter. Series of unfortunate events and bad communication from the other outfitter we had no choice but to cancel our hunt just days before. Upset and feeling defeated I told my husband to just look around to other outfitters and maybe by the off chance we can find someone that will take us. My husband found West Shores and reached out. Responses were quick and honest! They took us last second. Property was well managed and you can see the hard work they put into this business. The dogs they use do their job but are also kind level headed dogs, and you can’t help but smile when you see them working, and loving what they do. If you’re reading this review and you are debating hunting with dogs or not, do it. It makes the experience more fun and the dogs are simply great. Cody was our guide and he gave clear instructions to make sure my husband got his sow down. Communication goes a long way and this outfitter has great communication and just all around good people. After having a terrible experience with another outfitter and some other unforseen events my wife and I found ourselves looking to book a last minute pig hunt. Matt and Cody at West Shore Outfitters were able to help us out! They were fast responding and communication was great. Cody was very knowledgeable, helpful and all around great guide. He recommended we run the dogs since we on a bit of a time crunch and in around an hour I was able to take a nice sow with my bow. My wife and I had a great time and have nothing but good things to say. Next time we plan to hunt in Florida they will be the only outfitter we go to. Me and my boy did a full day hog hunt yesterday. We had a great time. We seen a few hogs come in behind us in the morning that we chose not to engage. We asked Colby and Cody if they would run the dogs in the afternoon, and even though they do not normally do that… the weather was perfect and they brought the dogs out. We have never used dogs to bowhunt in the past. I would have to say that was the most action packed and high energy hunt i have ever been on. We tracked a big hog for almost an hour through thick brush and waist high water in some parts. Cody and Colby are the best at what they do. Those boys are very knowledgeable and damn good at tracking those hogs. We ended up successfully shooting 2 big hogs,, one of which (my son shot) is the biggest hog either one of us has ever shot. 100% recommend this place. We will definitely be back💪🏼

We were out to shoot two pigs, and that’s what we got.Very exciting hunt guided by Colby. My father and I were dropped off at separate blinds in right before dawn. Immediately I had seven hogs feeding 35 yards away, and 30 minutes later I dropped a good sized one.After Colby picked me up and rendezvoused with my father, we cleaned up my hog, then went back out with the dogs to get my father a shot.Watching the dogs work was awesome to see, and after a few pigs were found and left unharmed in search of the right one, the dogs found us a good size one, backed off, and gave my dad a clear shot.Both methods were thrilling, and it was great to experience both in one day. Luck had it that we arrived at 5:45am and were on the road home at 11:30am with plenty of meat.Colby was very friendly, efficient, and seemed genuinely excited to converse with and educate the two of us about the work he does.

No nonsense hog hunting operation.I hunted with them in 2018 and killed an 80lb sow in the afternoon of my full day hunt. So in 2024, to celebrate my birthday, and try out my new suppressor, I made the drive from Miami with my buddy and we booked full day hunts again. Both my buddy and I killed 50lb sows early in the morning, giving us plenty of time to drive back home before nightfall.These guys will get you on a great hunting experience at a great price.

Had a great time with my guide Cody on my thermal hog hunt. I requested info from their site for a thermal hunt a few months ago before my family trip to Florida, the owner Matt was very responsive and helpful in selecting and scheduling this hunt. I also received an email that provided equipment recommendations and driving directions. Cody was also great in communicating the day before I arrived. Within 20 minutes of me arriving, we filled out some forms, went over the rifle, and then headed out to the bait stations. After arriving to the first station, Cody saw two large hogs and was clear on communicating which hog I should shoot. Spent more time filling out the safety forms and payment info then actually hunting, which is how just this stuff goes, lol. Still had a great time that night! I always wanted to do a thermal hunt and this place was pretty affordable. Never hunted with a thermal or a suppressor and was very impressed with their equipment. I would highly recommend this outfitter for a hog hunt. I look forward to booking a fishing charter with this place the next time I get back to Florida.

Booked a stand hunt with Matt while I was in the area on a family vacation. He answered all my questions honestly and the booking process was easy. He then put me in contact with Cody who would be my guide. Cody called me shortly after to discuss the details. I informed him I would be hunting with a long bow and then we got on the subject of his dogs. He told me he regularly guides bow hunters with his dogs which surprised me as I assumed bows weren’t normally used with dog hunts. I enjoy hunting with dogs any chance I get, so I switched to a dog hunt at that time. Right away we got on a big boar hog with his Black Mouth Cur. Chased it for about an hour, but due to the restrictions of a bow, I was unable to get a shot. With a gun we would have gotten that big pig fairly easily. We then switched to his GSP and got on a good sized sow. Pursued her for a while and eventually was able to get it. The hunt was harder than I thought, which is what I was hoping for. We busted through some nasty stuff trying to put an arrow in a pig. I was scratched up and sweaty when it was over. Codys’ dogs handled amazing. They would bay up a pig but he could call them off before the shot. And Cody, being a traditional bow hunter himself, knew how to put me in the right spot for the shot. I would gladly do that hunt again.

My friend and I hunted there on March 26, 2024. Started out as an all day hunt. I shot my hog in the morning and then we broke for lunch. My friend decided to hunt with dogs in the afternoon, which Cody said no problem. He told us it wouldn’t take long and would likely get a larger hog. The afternoon hunt was very entertaining and my friend shot a big boar about 225 lbs. We will definitely hunt again with West Shore. Cody was very accommodating and makes sure you have a good time. Recommend the dog hunt for more fun. I would like to thank Cody and West Shore Outfitters for a great time.

Excellent hunt. As soon as I arrived Cody greeted me and took me to the blind. I bow hunted and the set up was perfect with many shooting lanes and a feeder at 20 yards. Saw 6 pigs and took a nice one. Cody did a great job putting me on the pigs. I’ll be back next year.

I wanted to complete my turkey Grand Slam. I booked my spring hunt thru West Shore Outfitters. Matt from West Shore Outfitters worked with me on available dates and advised me on the legal stuff like licenses and even how to transport my shotgun on the flight from Iowa. West Shore Outfitters has a number of guides with access to multiple properties. The guides know the properties and have patterned the birds. As anyone would want on their hunt, my guide had options of which property and which birds he wanted me to hunt. The first day the birds went in the opposite direction off the roost. My guide made some adjustments and I harvested my Grand Slam by 8:30am the second day. I’m doing a full mount and my guide has had many clients do the same. He showed me how to take my harvest on the plane. My brother-in-law could not come with me, but I will have him book with West Shore Outfitters when he is ready to get his Osceola.I also hog hunted thru West Shore Outfitters. My flight had me come in two days before my scheduled turkey hunt. I had some time to kill. I went thermo night hog hunting the first night in Florida. I have never hunted hogs so totally new experience for me. The guide was patient and explained everything to me multiple times until I was completely comfortable going into the field. I was able to harvest a big hog and play with new technology at the same time. Everyone needs to try it at least once. I went day hog hunting the next day and enjoyed all the experiences the forest shows you while you are in a stand. I also harvested another hog on my day hunt. The guides are very experienced in setting me up and locating my kills.

In between hunts I enjoyed talking bowhunting with those guys.I did a 2 day hunt. First day I sat in a comfy bow hunter friendly box blind. Also very convenient for us self film guys and gals. I had hogs on top of me before first light as I was setting up! But as with big deer, big hogs are weary of feeders. Second day I asked to do a dog hunt and after a brief conversation to make sure we were all on the same page, buddy it was on! The dogs they have (Tito and Ringo) were AMAZING. They were on the hogs quickly. I was able to arrow 2 BIG BOARS. I can’t wait to do this hunt again!

this was one of the greatest experiences of my life. it was my first time going on any sort of hunt and the people were super chill and knowledgeable. they even had the option for me to go out longer and find one when i couldn’t get a shot in earlier. Went on a half-day hog hunt with these guys over the weekend and had an excellent time! Managed to bag a 130lb sow, which Dakota expertly broke down for me before I left. My friends and I really had a blast (pun intended) and will certainly be back in the future for a longer session!

Had a great time. Nothing is 100% in hunting, I saw 6+ hogs and was able to harvest 1. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. They even quartered my hog. The hide and facility was clean and build well.

Booked a hog hunt with west shores outfitters and they are definitely a 5 star outfit. We had 3 hunters and us were successful. Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone wanting to kill some wild hogs. We will definitely be back next year.

Awesome experience! I started with the full day hunt where you sit in a stand for the day and saw tiny hogs and let them pass. At lunchtime when I met back up with my guide he recommended doing the hunt with dogs instead and we decided to go that route. Needless too say it was more fun than I’ve ever had hunting, the dogs where very seasoned hunters and the guide/handler was very professional. We pushed a huge sow out of the brush about 30 minuets into the dog hunt and I took her. Highly recommend this business for hog hunts.

100% amazing place and time. We scheduled an all day hunt but after a slow morning our guide asked if we were interested in upgrading to the dog hunt, and what an experience. Cody, Dakota, Colby and their hounds are absolutely amazing. They treated everyone like we had known them for years. This was our first time but will definitely not be our last god willing. Thanks guys for making my sons Christmas present so amazing.

Fantastic day. Great way to introduce my daughter to hunting larger game. Cody and Colby both did a great job. Definitely suggest the full day for pigs.
